On 10/24/2013, the Houston Food Bank, the largest food bank in the United States, named Cleverley Stone 'Barbara Falik Humanitarian of the Year.'

On 10/10/2012, Houston's mayor, Annise Parker, proclaimed that day as "Cleverley Stone Day" in Houston for Stone's philanthropy
